All appointments are 50-minutes in length, including the initial assessment session. Sessions may be held either in-person at the practice or online. If you are funded privately or paying a gap fee from a Mental Health Care Plan, we will request a credit card during the intake process payment through.
Midway through your session, we will charge the card provided, and then process a rebate (if applicable) and send a copy of your paid invoice to your email. By default, all payments are made securely through our case management software, Halaxy. Halaxy’s payment gateway is extremely secure and all card details are tokenised, meaning your card details are not visible to anyone at Skill Tree Psychology or Halaxy. However, if you are uncomfortable with utilising Halaxy’s payment system, we also offer EFTPOS.
Medicare
A valid referral letter from a GP or Psychiatrist currently grants access to a Mental Health Care Plan Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session with a Psychologist (max. 10 sessions per calendar year, with subsequent referrals). This means your out-of-pocket fee per consultation will be $113.35.
Other Medicare options (with a valid referral letter) include: Helping Children with Autism Initiative (20 sessions over a lifetime; rebate= $96.65) and Chronic Disease Management Plan (if eligible and appropriate, rebate= $60.35).
Skill Tree Psychology has no availability for Bulk Billing.

NDIS
We will invoice your Plan Manager the applicable rate based for your location. NDIS covers the clinic fee at Skill Tree Psychology. Skill Tree Psychology accepts plan-managed funding and self managed funding. Skill Tree Psychology cannot accept NDIA-. agency managed funding.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance you may be able to claim a rebate for the sessions. At the end of each session, you will be provided with an invoice that provides the details required for you to organise the rebate with your private health fund.
Please note that you are not able to claim from both Medicare and your private health fund for the same session.
